The Pope Video 01-2017 — Christians serving humanity — January 2017
In today’s world, many Christians from various churches work together to serve humanity in need, to defend human life and its dignity, to defend creation, and to combat injustice.
This desire to walk together, to collaborate in service and in solidarity with the weakest and with those who suffer, is a source of joy for us all.
Join your voice to mine in praying for all who contribute through prayer and fraternal charity to restoring full ecclesial communion in service of the challenges facing humanity.

Made for Freedom
This video is part of the series created for the “Marriage: Unique for a Reason” initiative of the USCCB Subcommittee for the Promotion and Defense of Marriage. This initiative seeks to assist Catholics and all people of good will to understand the unique gift of marriage as the union of one man and one woman. Its four themes are sexual difference (explored in “Made for Each Other”), the gift of children (“Made for Life”), religious freedom (“Made for Freedom”), and the common good (“Made for the Common Good”). Religious freedom after the redefinition of marriage in civil law is explored in this video.
