Two New French Immersion Sites Coming for September 2015

Parents interested in French Immersion for their children have more options than ever with the Toronto Catholic District School Board.

For September 2015, TCDSB will offer the program at Holy Rosary Catholic School in Toronto and at St. Leo Catholic School in Etobicoke. Registration for Kindergarten and French Immersion begins on January 8th at 10 a.m.

This brings the total number of French Immersion sites to nine. In addition to Holy Rosary and St. Leo, the program is also offered at Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, James Culnan, Our Lady of Peace, Our Lady of Wisdom, St. Agatha, St. Cecilia and St. Cyril.

Parents are welcome to attend an information evening to learn more about French Immersion and Extended French at schools already offering the program. For a complete list of dates, times and locations, see

St Leo Revitalization Letter – Meeting Wednesday, October 22, 2014 @ 6:30 pm School Library

Our petition for the Revitalization of St. Leo School on the Parish Website.

Please sign our online petition.
We were so proud of our students as they set forth in the neighbourhood to pick up garbage as part of our clean-up drive.  While not the most glamourous of fundraisers, it taught our children what it means to be a contributing member of a community and to do the things that nobody wants to do but that benefit us all.  We aim to foster a sense of environmental stewardship, leadership and community initiative and this is one of the beginning steps in our commitment to our environment and school greening. AND we had fun!!!  The older students paired with the younger ones and it was such a delight to see them work together!

A huge thank you to those students and families who sent in pledges.  Your generosity and commitment to the school is noticed and appreciated. (If you forgot to send in your pledge or would still like to – it’s not too late!  Remember all donations of $10.00 or more get a tax receipt.  No donation is too small – it is the effort that counts.  Please contact if you are interested in supporting our revitalization efforts
Our Principal Mrs Ugrin was nominated for the Principal of Excellence Award at the CEC this evening!  A huge honour, she was one of ten Principals throughout the entire TCDSB who were recognized for their dedication and commitment.  Parents and teachers alike came to show their appreciation and support for the wonderful things she does for our school. It’s official – our Principal is fantastic!
Congratulations Mrs Ugrin on behalf of all of the parents and teachers!   We are so grateful to have you at our helm!

Heard you are having a Children’s Halloween Party can you please send me details. Is it at the Church or School and any other information would be great Thanks.

    1. I don’t have any knowledge of the school events. You might contact the school. The party would not be at the church. Inclusion of the schools on the parish website is very new; we hope to include information here but its a work in progress. Otherwise we depend on the school board website which we link to for information.
