WITNESS – Catherine Kamp
Cathy Kamp is a Pastoral Associate at St. Joseph’s Church in Penfield, N.Y. where she has served since 2006. She is responsible for a mission-driven model of parishioner-led ministry, adult formation including the RCIA and small Christian communities, stewardship and evangelization, and some aspects of pastoral care and social outreach. She has a passion for creative uses of social media and other communications to share the Good News.
Cathy received a Master of Divinity at St. Bernard’s School of Theology and Ministry in Rochester, NY in 2012 and enjoys teaching in the classroom and offering workshops. Working closely with her pastor and pastoral team, she is committed to bringing the spirituality of Pope Francis to life at the parish level and has offered a variety of courses to explore practical implementation of the Pope’s emphasis on becoming a Church of mercy.
Cathy current serves as Chair of the Diocese of Rochester Pastoral Associates/Pastoral Ministers Association. The focus of the association is to provide spiritual renewal and professional development for lay pastoral leaders in the Diocese.
Prior to lay ecclesial ministry, Cathy was a writer and communications consultant for Rochester area non-profits including the University of Rochester Medical Center and the Diocese of Rochester. Earlier in her career, she was vice president of a public relations firm in New York City and an accounts manager manager for Procter & Gamble. She has a B.A. in English from Adelphi University. Married with four adult children, Cathy enjoys writing, photography, yoga and dogs!

WITNESS – Fr. Michael Pace, SDB
Fr. Michael Pace is Salesian priest, a member of the religious congregation founded by St. John Bosco. Upon ordination in 1999, he served as associate pastor and youth minister for seven years at Montreal’s Missione Maria Ausiliatrice and Don Bosco Youth Leadership Centre.
From 2007- 2016 he was pastor at St. Benedict Parish in Toronto where he devoted much pastoral care to youth ministry, sponsorship and resettlement of refugees, and parish team building. He peached parish retreats, and diocesan missions, and to date has led eight World Youth Day delegations for the Salesian Youth Movement.
Fr. Mike’s current assignment is in Orange, New Jersey, where he is Director of the Salesian house of formation for future Salesian priests and brothers. While awaiting his US Religious Worker’s Visa, Fr. Mike spent six months in Tijuana, Mexico. From October 2016 to March 2017 he worked closely with the thousands of Haitian migrants who flocked to Tijuana in the hopes of gaining entry to the United States. As one of the Salesian team members at the Desayunador Salesiano, he helped over 5,000 Haitian migrants find a warm, safe, attentive welcome in the Salesian refuge after their three month journey from Brazil.
Prior to entering the priesthood, Fr. Pace was lawyer in Ontario. He was also a highschool teacher and chaplain. As a Salesian he is committed to living Don Bosco’s charism of evangelizing and educating youth with joy and optimism.
