Justin Hines – An Inspiration
You can’t help but help and admire this guy. Not only is he a great musician who has received a ton of critical acclaim, he has done it all with a severe physical disability. We had the privilege to speak with the charming Justin Hines before a recent performance.

Director of Chaplains and Spiritual Development
Supreme Council of the Knights of Columbus
Jonathan Kalisch grew up in New Jersey and joined the Knights of Columbus in 1991 as a freshman at Georgetown University. He served as the college council’s church director, deputy grand knight, and for two years as grand knight.
Working closely with the council’s two chaplains, he saw for the first time the full life of a priest, and the seed of a vocation was planted. After graduation, he worked for an international accounting firm in Warsaw, Poland, before going on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, where he heard a strong call to discern a priestly vocation. He entered the Dominican order in 1996 and was ordained to the priesthood in 2003. He received a licentiate in sacred theology the following year from the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC. Over the years, he served as chaplain of the two councils he helped to found on campuses where he served in campus ministry: Quinnipiac University and Dartmouth College, and he also helped to start the council at George Washington University when he was seminarian in Washington, DC.
Father Kalisch now works at the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council headquarters in New Haven, CT, as Director of Chaplains and Spiritual Development. He resides at the Dominican Priory at St. Mary’s Church, on the grounds where Father Michael McGivney founded the Order of the Knights of Columbus in 1882.
Father Kalisch also serves as Prior of his local Dominican community. He follows closely in the footsteps of Venerable Fr. McGivney, working at the Supreme Council of the Order that he founded. In 2016, Fr. Kalisch served as Director of the 2016 World Youth Day Mercy Centre Catechesis and Youth Festival Site in Kraków, Poland
